 Fun fair rides?
Does anyone think like me the fun fair rides at bloodstock have had their day, dont really suit what the festival has become over the years and are taking up space that could be used for something else.
The space the rides are taking up could be used for a wacken open air style beer garden, with benches, bar and a small stage etc etc....

 Re: Fun fair rides?
I went on them on the last night and they were fun. They could just stick more chairs outside the bar.

Don't like the fun fair rides either. They are just an annoyance I have to walk around.

In their defence I did think the rides were reasonably priced although ironically we never went on any of them

I'm not a fan of them, and I don't think they add anything to the experience, however the Viking re-enactment guys were awesome again

Get rid of them, go down the road to Alton Towers if you want rides

 Re: Fun fair rides?
For a start, they need to be banned from blasting the same shit music over and over again.

But ... what about drunk dodgems? I say keep them, although it can be annoying to have to walk around them all the time.

They probably bring in money to help keep the festival running.

 Re: Fun fair rides?
I used to be of the opinion that they didn't really have a place at festivals... Then I started riding them. For a start, drunk dodgems is fucking hilarious fun, and those spinny rides work wonders for helping the drink get to work (or emptying the contents of your stomach, depending on how well you can handle everything). This year, I hardly noticed any particularly overpowering music, and I don't seem to remember them overdoing the recording of the foreign bloke shouting 'Please buy your tokens from de cash bawx', if at all. I was quite drunk at the time of riding them though. It's only a few steps to walk around them during the day. I think they got it about right this year.

 Re: Fun fair rides?
I drunkenly went on all of them in a row one night, was a good laugh! I say keep 'em Biggest dodgems fail of all time though. Going backward in a circle, the wrong way....
