Official Guitar Hero Competition Rules
By entering the Bloodstock Open Air 2009 Guitar Hero 3 / world tour Championship you (or, if a minor in your state/province of residence, your parent or legal guardian) agree to abide by these Official Rules and any other terms and conditions referenced in these Official Guitar Hero Competition Rules.
1. Eligibility
This Competition is open to any legal residents of the United Kingdom If under 16 years of age then with parental / Guardian approval Employees of Bloodstock Festival ltd./ Amust4music Ltd. and any person engaged to work on this promotional program and their respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and each of their immediate family members (including mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband or wife) and those living in their households are not eligible to enter or win.
2. Promotion Period
This Promotion begins 11th January 2009 and ends on 16th August 2009 ("Promotion Period")
3. How To Enter
For this year we have decided to simplify the rules some what and try to give every budding new Metallica or ACDC wannabe a chance to enjoy playing to a crowd at Bloodstock 2009. All you need to do is submit your online gamer tag to the following email address adam@bloodstock.uk.com and you will be invited via Xbox Live to compete for your chance to compete at the 2009 final. It will strictly be on a first come first served basis, so I will apologize now for anyone not given the opportunity to compete, but we will hold fortnightly entrant evenings ONLINE from January 11 th 2009 onwards leading up to the festival and finishing at the end of July 09. You will be invited in by " Bloodstock UK or Bloodstock UK1 " and given your chance to show us you are worthy of a stage slot in 09.
You can either enter as a band or a solo artist, but the winners will be chosen by there overall game score regardless of the gamer difficulty chosen.....so get practicing!
We have decided to have 2 winners in 2009, the first winner will be the highest individual score on solo play on any chosen instrument or vocal, the second will be given to the highest overall BAND score on the day.
Prizes will consist of GAMES CONSOLES, games and Festival goodies including for the winners, 2 VIP Festival Tickets for 2010 including camping and parking.
4. Festival Heats
Entry for the festival competition final will be £2.00 for solo artists which will also include a practice go and £10 for a complete band, but it will be Free to enter the competition for your chance to make it to the final, during the heats you will be given 1 song of YOUR choice and difficulty to enter the competition and subject to your score you will be notified of your qualification to the finals
5. Winner Selection / Prizes
Each heat finalist will receive an Xbox 360 Guitar Hero game including Wireless Guitar Hero 3 / World tour Championship final and a Bloodstock Goody bag (Collected on the weekend of the final).
Three (3) Runners up prizes will be available of Two (2) pairs of Bloodstock Open Air Festival tickets for the 009 festival .
All random drawings will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning Prize Package depend on the number of eligible entries received. Odds of being selected as the Grand Prize winner depend on the ability of each competing contestant.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event an offered prize is unavailable. Taxes on the prizes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.
5. General Conditions
Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Competition. This Competition is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom . All federal, provincial, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners will be notified within seven (7) days after the drawing date via the contact information provided at time of entry, and may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within seven (7) days following the date of attempted notification. Return of any prize / prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print in any other media in connection with the competition. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner's names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this competition or any prize won.
6. Internet
If for any reason the Internet portion of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this competition. Bloodstock (Amust4music Ltd.) is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Bloodstock (Amust4music Ltd.) on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this competition. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Entries made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
