Metal 2 the Masses

Rebellion Manchester is a 500 capacity live-music venue located in the heart of Manchester City Centre. There are pool tables, many seated areas, a large beer garden and two bar areas, all creating a spacious and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. 22nd January 2017 – Launch Party and free BBQ Representatives from 48 qualifying bands will be present in order to select their position in the 12 Heats. Please see the attached spreadsheet for dates and layout of the Heats to Finals. These positions will be chosen at random out of a ‘hat’ and immediately placed onto the Heats Board which will be present in the venue throughout the competition in order to advertise accordingly. Live music performances will feature throughout the Launch Party in order to showcase the venue’s high quality tech specifications. A free BBQ will be available to all, served in the sheltered area of the Beer Garden. After the Launch Party, following Sundays will be a series of 12 Heats, 4 Quarter Finals, 2 Semi Finals and 1 Final. Dates are listed on the spreadsheet. Throughout the competition it is our duty and pleasure to advertise via all available online and physical platforms, whilst keeping artists informed in a professional manner. We are determined for this to be a series of fun and entertaining events, culminating in the party of the decade!

Exchange is a versatile 250 capacity live music and club space, situated in the heart of Bristol’s city centre. After hosting the semi-finals last year they‘ve joined forces with 2015 winners Mortishead and they will now be the hosts of M2TM, Bristol region, in 2017. Together they are committed in helping Bloodstock find the best from the Bristol/Southwest region to grace the Newblood Stage.

The Venue is on the site of the old Greens furniture shop on Ousegate in the historical market town of Selby. Right opposite the river Ouse this vast space has been converted into a 300 capacity live venue with the addition of local band rehearsal rooms. The Bullingdon is in the heart of the student living district of Oxford. Being a medium capacity venue (300) it attracts many genres of bands including rock and metal. It’s a well known venue in Oxford. Celebrating over 20 years of Gigs, Clubs and live performance - showcasing Local, National and International touring acts - and some of the scenes leading DJ's

Dedicated 300 capacity live music venue. 24’ x 13’x 3’ stage. Full decent PA, lights, bar, merch area, small dressing room. Limited Parking available. Disabled access but no wheelchair friendly toilet facilities. Age limit 16+ but younger patrons can be signed in at the door if accompanied by a grown up. Club 85 has been the local home for live metal for the past 20 years, and has seen many bands grow that have grown up on our stage.

EBGB’s Basement has been known for crazy late nights for longer than most of you people have been alive. Refreshingly unique, wonderfully insane and undeniably spectacular, EBGB’s is the club you’ve always wanted but never dared to go!

Livewire is a small 250 capacity venues situated on the banks of the river tamar. Livewire is a UK Charity giving young people opportunities around music, the venue however is of high quality and has as well as hosting many local young bands has also hosted The Damned, Funeral For a Friend, Phil Campbell (Motorhead) and many more. The venue has an impressive back line.

The Brickyard is Carlisle's premier and only full time live music venue and has hosted some of the biggest names in music past and present. Formally known as The Richmond Hall, or The Richmond Memorial Hall, the venue itself is over 100 years old and has been a key figure in the Carlisle music scene. The Richmond Hall was built as Saint Mary’s Parish Rooms, named in honour of the late Canon Thomas Richmond of Canon Carlisle Cathedral. After a long absence, The Richmond Hall was renovated and it's doors opened on new year's eve 2002 to the new name of The Brickyard. Ideally situated between Newcaste and Glasgow, The Brickyard is a 350 capacity venue.

This will be the 3rd year the Voodoo has hosted some of the heats, semi-finals and final of the M2M competition. The venue is one of the cornerstones of live metal events in Belfast, having played host to a wealth of local talent, as well as bands such as Diamond Head, Raging Speedhorn, Aura Noir, Exhumed, Negura Bunget and a whole host of others! It’s ideal for touring bands and local shows alike and has successfully celebrated its 5th birthday in 2016

The Victoria is one of Swindons oldest and busiest venues I'm town. Having always hosted a variety of live music it's an ideal venue to host Metal 2 The Masses. We had a great showing last year for all 4 heats and a PACKED final show to send off Heriot to BOA2016!

Back for a 4th year in Brighton Jackhammer Promotions and The Green Door Store bring the M2TM to you, after 3 incredibly successful events where the best of Brighton has competed. Tucked away under Brighton train station is where you can find us.

Leicestershire's premier rock/metal venue is proud to see the Metal 2 the Masses return again in 2017, with a 400 capacity bar and 150 capacity venue above we have already seen some major acts come to play , Katatonia , Raging Speedhorn amongst others have all graced our stage And that's until we get to the final, held once again at the legendary DeMontfort Hall a 2,400-capacity venue with its own legacy.
