Inclusive Bloodstock
Bloodstock’s 20+ year history has been built on the core values of community, inclusivity and acceptance. By the very nature of our genre of alternative music, Bloodstock has an organically diverse audience that champion the acceptance of inclusion.
These values are very important to the festival team. Much of the social landscape has changed over the last 20 years and the Bloodstock team has recognised the need to continue learning and therefore are committed to continuously educating ourselves on all aspects of diversity and inclusion throughout an ever-evolving landscape.
We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where everyone can happily connect through music and where our patrons can freely be themselves without fear of facing abuse, intolerance or violence.
We believe it is the shared responsibility of organisers, volunteers, artists, contractors and patrons to help embrace a wonderfully diverse and inclusive festival.
- Bloodstock has a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards incidents of intimidation, violence and physical or verbal harassment, related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age or religion. For further information on our Zero Tolerance Policy and procedures CLICK HERE
.- Bloodstock supports cultural change within the music industry by promoting an ethic of care among patrons, encouraging conversations around safety and expected behaviour and providing gender-equality and diversity within the festival program.

- Small but inclusive steps have been implemented to improve the festival experience of diverse groups, such as gender-neutral bathrooms and accessible amenities. We encourage people with disability or access needs to get in touch with our team prior to the festival so that we can assist with your personal experience. We will endeavour to ensure that Bloodstock continues to be a place of inclusion and promoting diversity and will continue to assess ways in which we can achieve this.

Loop - Pixar Short film
This short film breaks ground as Pixar's first film of any length to focus on a person with autism who is non-verbal and uses a communication device. The two main characters are people of color and shows how the boy, who does not have autism, learns to communicate with her and respects her for her differences in the end. If you would like to find out more CLICK HERE.
Float - Pixar Short Film
This short film was directed by Bobby Rubio and it was a reflection of his own struggles when discovering his child has autism. Unlike Loop, this film's main character is not overtly autistic but posses the ability to fly. The story really is about the child's father grappling with how his child is different and how others will perceive him. An interesting side note on this one is that in initial development, Rubio designed the characters to all be white. However, a colleague commented on how the story is so personal and that Rubio should draw the characters to look like him more in that he is Filipino. If you would like to find out more CLICK HERE.
