With only a few short weeks until Christmas, we will once again show our support to one of our own, 4 year old Harriet Gregory, by auctioning off two pairs of Serpents Lair VIP weekend tickets worth over £520 a pair to next year’s Bloodstock Open Air Festival.
Serpents Lair ‘VIP’ tickets are due to go on sale from December 16th, but two lucky winning auction bids will be the first to receive their tickets and all for an extremely good cause.
Little Harriet was born severely disabled and since birth has had many life saving operations as well as dozens of tests and procedures to try and diagnose her severe life threatening medical condition which has baffled the medical profession around the world.
Harriet is unable to suck or swallow and has very limited motor skills, so for every hour of every day, little Harriet is hooked up to machines that monitor her heart rate as well as a tube to feed her, whilst the oxygen and equipment surrounding her 24 hours a day keeps 4 year old Harriet alive.
Over the course of the last 6 months, Harriet has had some set major setbacks; the family have had to cope with ongoing seizures, which have threatened her life on more than one occasion. Medical professionals are unable to explain why Harriet is now suffering from seizures, on top of her ever increasing medical problems.
In the meantime Harriet`s day-to-day quality of life remains the priority. The Gregory family managed to raise vital funds to build a special room for Harriet at the family home. The room is a sterile hospital type environment that is fully equipped with all the necessary oxygen cylinders, heart monitors, suction machines and other medical requirements to make Harriet comfortable.
Harriet has been scheduled in to see the genetic team in January 2014, in the hope that they can help the family find some answers into what is causing her condition.
The family continue to try and find answers into what is wrong with little Harriet and have put all their hopes into finding someone that will try to transplant stem cells as this now appears to be her only hope, however, the treatment is extremely expensive as it’s primarily done in the USA.
The e-bay auction will take place from 9th December 2013 until 16th December 2013. The highest bidders will receive their Serpents Lair VIP tickets once funds have been paid in full. All proceeds will go directly to the HELP HARRIET TRUST.
