Following on from last year’s awesome show in the festival arena, BLOODSTOCK HQ is excited to announce the return of our very popular Strongman team, but there’s a difference this year! In 2018, in collaboration with our friends at 100%CA we are opening up the Strongman competition to the very strongest of the BLOODSTOCK fan base! If you think you have what’s required to be up there with the strongest in the country, check out one of the following two event links and enter for your chance to actually compete with the strongmen at this year’s BLOODSTOCK and be the winner of our first ever amateur BLOODSTOCK’s Strongest Man.
BLOODSTOCK and 100%CA will be holding two UK qualifying heats, a North (Wigan) and South (Lichfield) event in advance of the festival, to look for the 6 best amateur qualifiers, then the final will be held on Friday 10th August in the festival arena! There will be five gruelling events at the qualifiers; axle press, squat and deadlift, the ‘carry to hell’ and ‘medley of doom’, and then a further five heavy and testing events at the final! With Friday night headliners, JUDAS PRIEST, Saturday headliners, GOJIRA and Sunday’s bill toppers, NIGHTWISH already announced, as well as EMPEROR, DEVILDRIVER, WATAIN, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, WEDNESDAY 13, JASTA & FRIENDS, FOZZY, COMBICHRIST, BLOODBATH, VENOM INC., MR BIG, ORPHANED LAND, KAMELOT, DORO, ORDEN OGAN, SEPTICFLESH, VOLA and MEMORIAM so far, 2018 is shaping up to be another stellar year for BLOODSTOCK.
BLOODSTOCK will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 9th-12th August 2018.
