YOUR CHANCE TO CHOOSE WHO PLAYS AT BLOODSTOCK 2011!
As well as bringing all the greatest names in Metal every year, giving headbangers their only chance to experience a true metal festival in an open-air setting, BLOODSTOCK has always been first to introduce exciting new talent from the entire Metal World.
The Metal 2 The Masses initiative has been a champion of unsigned talent over the years, with industry judges choosing the crème of the underground scene to perform at BLOODSTOCK’s unsigned stage. Now, BLOODSTOCK expands it’s unsigned selection process, by giving fans the chance to vote for their favourite unsigned bands on a Worldwide scale.
Unsigned Metal bands have the chance to win a place on Bloodstocks’ prestigious Sophie Lancaster Stage and this will be the band that generates the most votes over all three categories – from Doom, Goth, Speed, and Industrial to Classic, Folk Glam. We’ll cover all genres of Metal from any country in the World – so its gonna be huge!
With this initiative open to breaking bands Worldwide it has proven to be huge launch pad for many bands. One of the great success stories is the Costa Rican band - Sight of Emptiness who won this very competition and have since gone on to support MEGADETH, AMON AMARTH and DARK TRANQUILITY!

The unsigned competition starts from April 12th and will then finish on July 12th; all winners will be informed within 48 hours of the competition closing.
