For the second year running, Bloodstock had the privledge of helping to raise awareness and funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust and 2012 has proved to be a huge success in doing so.
After a successful 2011, suggested guest list donations of £10 per person were again donated to Teenage cancer trust raising an amazing £3028 - over £1000 more than the previous year. For the first year ever the charity also had a marquee, where there was a T-shirt amnesty, with old rock / metal items available in exchange for a donation while festival goers were invited to donate their unwanted t-shirts. there was also a raffle held over the weekend with the winner getting their hands on a stunning Ephiphone Les Paul Studio Guitar signed by BOA 2012 headliners Behemoth, Machine Head and Alice Cooper. With the stall raising over £1500 during the 4 days, the Bloodstock grand total was an amazing £4776.88 - a huge success!
Every penny raised over Bloodstock weekend will go towards helping young people with cancer throughout the UK.
Jen Walker, Music Coordinator at Teenage cancer Trust said “We had a brilliant time at Bloodstock this year and appreciate all the support from both those behind the scenes at the festival and all of those who popped by the stall and supported us! Roll on 2013 and Anthrax!”
