Gothenburg, Sweden’s hard rockers GRAVEYARD will be taking over the main Ronnie James Dio Stage on Sunday. The Nuclear Blast four-piece have just wrapped dates on Australia’s Soundwave Festival, playing choice cuts from latest album, ‘Lights Out’. Stepping up for a Saturday slot on the Sophie Stage are Norwegian death metallers, BLOOD RED THRONE. Having released their seventh studio album last year, simply entitled ‘Blood Red Throne’, the band proclaim “It’s about time BLOOD RED THRONE get the chance to tear shit up at the almighty BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL! NWOBHM stalwarts, BATTLEAXE also join the Saturday bill. Hailing from the North East, the band formed in 1980 and made waves for eight years before going on hiatus. Having regrouped in 2007, BATTLEAXE are back with a vengeance, with their latest album, ‘Heavy Metal Sanctuary’ hitting stores last week.
