The band Guns N’ Roses delayed the first two dates of its North American tour, in bid to finish its long-delayed Chinese Democracy album, according to Southwest Florida’s News-Press.com. Guns N’ Roses was supposed to begin the tour on October 20th in Jacksonville, Florida, then another gig in Nashville but they were both disappointedly discarded.
The promoter John Stoll assured that the shows were cancelled not because of low-ticket sales, but simply because the singer W. Axl Rose was “putting the finishing touches on the new albumâ€
The group rescheduled the Jacksonville concert for October 31st 2006.
On October Tuesday 24th in Sunrise, Florida the Guns N’ Roses tour opened
“The most exciting, gut-pumping, lighter-flickering thing seen so far this year in South Florida,†Is what Leslie Gray Streeter of the Palm Beach Post called the concert.
Guns N’ Roses also play on Friday October 27th in Estero, Florida.
To rephrase the band’s manager, on the release of Chinese Democracy, there are eight Tuesdays left in 2006.
