The Bloodstock team are pleased to announce that world renowned Fantasy Artist Mark Wilkinson and Bloodstock founder Paul Raymond Gregory will be at the Rock Society Tent for an hour or two this weekend to chat with anyone who has appreciation for the legendary album covers these two artists have bestowed on us over very many years.
Mark Wilkinson will be launching his book Shadowplay at Bloodstock which is a collection of his best artwork, taken from a thirty year career during which he has created iconic record covers and concert posters for some of the top bands in the music industry including Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Marillion, Fish and The Darkness. He has also illustrated numerous book covers, postage stamps and created art for Judge Dredd and the cult BBC TV series Red Dwarf.
Mark is currently working with our very own Bloodstock founder Paul Gregory designing a new book of Paul’s work spanning his life’s work over 40 years. Called 'Beyond Time And Place - The Art of Paul Raymond Gregory' to be published in 2012.
Mark says
"I was really honoured to be asked by Paul to design his book as I am a huge fan of his work, who wouldn't be! It is absolutely staggering what he has achieved during the past 40 years. His paintings are an inspiration to us all."
Mark will be signing copies of his new book Shadowplay at Bloodstock this Sunday at 2.50pm .
