With a line-up boasting headline appearances from OPETH, CHILDREN OF BODOM, FEAR FACTORY, TWISTED SISTER, plus a special guest slot filled by MESHUGGAH, BLOODSTOCK is the place to find the best names in the world of metal. But the while the main stage acts may be the heart and soul of BLOODSTOCK, it’s the new, unsigned talent - the headliners of the future - that are the festival’s lifesblood.
Once again, Bloodstock’s very own Metal 2 The Masses Roadshow has been tearing up and down the country to find you the best in breaking metal. We’re delighted to announce the following additions to this years festivities, the cream of the crop who have battled it out with hundreds of bands to secure a slot at BLOODSTOCK’s 10th anniversary event - the biggest and best BLOODSTOCK so far.
"Emerging from Manchester in late 2008, four piece metal band Betraeus mix a vast amount of musical styles from acoustic fingerstyle, jazz, ambient and world music to create their progressive and haunting, dark and groovey, sometimes beautiful, extreme metal sound. Always searching to push the boundaries of modern music, Betraeus effortlessly incorporate epic sweeping melodies and vocal harmonies to groovy bass lines and blast beats, whilst keeping your head banging with a menacing growl and face melting dual guitar work! In a time where music is all about the haircut and tight jeans, Betraeus are hell bent on hammer smashing this scene by bringing real British metal back to the music! A definite hit for true metal heads, musicians and fans of Gojira, Opeth, Decapitated and the unexpected!
'Live and die metal!'"

Grieve are a Huddersfield based heavy metal band that use a selection of groovy and powerful riffs to rip up the stage and always look to pump up the audience. With six years of solid gigging and progressing musically, Grieve have formed a tight set of straight up heavy metal. As the members of the band became more experienced and mature, their sound did the same. Catchy riffs accompanied more focused and well thought out lyrics and the bands' energy and stage presence grew more and more powerful. Originally being influenced by early Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath gives them a more dynamic mix of classic metal which successfully accompanies the aggressive down tuned feel they create now.
