Saxon a heavy metal band is rumoured to be playing at a special secret gig at a pub in Lincoln, England on Friday October 27th because of a documentary they’re doing for TV.
“Recording commitments†was the recent reason to why Saxon cancelled its South American/ Mexican tour.
On June 27th Steamhammer/ SPV released Saxon’s new live album “The Eagle Has Landed Part 3†in the U.S. It features the new recordings with drummer Nigel Glocker, who following an extended break, has just returned to the Saxon fold. The album was recorded by two different line-ups: the 2004 cuts featuring the drummer Jörg Michael and the 2005 material, which presents Nigel Glocker. Consisting next to Glocker, of founding members Biff Byford (vocals), Nibbs Carter (bass), Paul Quinn (guitar) and Doug Scarratt (guitar). Saxon as a band are definitely still one of the hottest, existing live bands of today.
