The Maggies are the awards to recognise the best magazine covers in the last year, voted for by you the public, and Hammer have been nominated. The Maggies liked our Slayer cover for what Hammer art editor James Isaacs called “a cover that in true Metal Hammer style shocked, impressed, and disgusted.â€
There are 135 covers, 8 categories, 9 judges… and only 5 magazines per category made it through to the shortlist. And because it’s a public vote we’d like to see our fellow metalheads defend the faith by voting for us! It’s Slayer vs Andre Vote here .
