Pretending to be something you’re not is the quickest way to lose yourself...
Growing up in broken, abusive or struggling homes, masking the misery seemed to be the obvious solution. Writing uplifting songs to try and convince themselves it would all be ok in the future.
However, after years of performing and writing music in different bands, they grew tired of limiting their abilities to positive melodies and uplifting metaphors. It wasn’t real. It wasn’t how they truly felt.
Vexed was finally born in March 2019.
A true representation of who these individuals are and the hate they feel.
