Bloodstock 2009 Unsigned Video Competition Winners Announced

Following on from the success of last years competition, Bloodstock once again threw open its servers to the Unsigned, giving them the opportunity to upload their videos to be voted on by the best authority we have – YOU, THE FANS! The videos were watched, downloads were made, votes were cast and now our esteemed webmaster has checked the logs, totalled up his variables (oo-err!) and the results for this years competition are in. With in excess of 200 bands signing up, we’d like to thank each and every one for taking part and also to thank everyone who watched and voted and ultimately helped to chose the three fan favourites who will go on to play the festival, so without further ado: Read more

THE ROTTEDLondon grinders THE ROTTED will be shredding, blasting and growling their hearts out at their first ever Bloodstock appearance on the Sophie Lancaster Stage. Changing their name from Goreotted in 2008, THE ROTTED wasted no time recording an album for Metal Blade, then hitting the road performing at headlining shows as well as appearing with such legends as Iron Maiden, Napalm Death, Deathstars and Anathema. With a hardcore punk attitude, cynical lyrical humour and a fierce sound THE ROTTED will have Bloodstock attendees furiously headbanging or running for cover and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Good news to all Playstation 3 Guitar Hero Fans! Bloodstock has recently expanded its heats from Xbox Live to also the Playstation Network! The competition that offers fantastic prizes to its winners to find the official, “Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2009 – Guitar Hero Metallica Champion†started the heats on Xbox Live from the 8th May 2009; the heats are currently taking place fortnightly from 7pm to 10pm on Xbox Live; and will correspondingly follow the same layout over on ‘Playstation Network’.
