THIS SUMMIT FEVER
Louder than two humans have any right to be, This Summit Fever play heavy, fuzzed-up riff rock. The duo, who hail from the birthplace of Heavy Metal, are equal parts traditional and contemporary in their sound. Andy (vocals/guitar) and Jim (drums) have been making music together since 2021.
From the outset, friends of the band would ask “How can you be a band without a bass player and second guitarist? Aren’t you limiting yourselves?” This Summit Fever have been more than happy to prove that their strength lies in that limitation at shows all over the UK, playing alongside the likes of Raging Speedhorn, Tuskar, Boss Keloid and many others.
Released in 2021, the first EP Doubt was the sound of a band finding their path. Doubt received many positive reviews from around the world and lead track Reborn enjoyed radio play in the UK, France, Austria and the USA.
In 2022 This Summit Fever released a single entitled The Beyond which was played on BBC introducing and was also picked up by an Australian radio show. 2022 was also a very successful year in terms of live shows. The band were fortunate enough to play even further afield at venues in Manchester, London and Nottingham.
Their latest sophomore release, a 4-song EP titled Distraction Rituals, is entirely self-produced. The music has once again developed in timbre and style, whilst the lyrics explore the human condition and mental health. The lead track entitled Messiah has an official music video to promote the release.
Now on the crest of a wave, This Summit Fever are ready to play as loud in 2023 as ever before.
