Band Line Up 2015

After giving their second album "White Hoarhound" a vinyl release in 2013, Austrian metal behemoths Napalm Records joined forces with Alunah in 2014 to release their third album "Awakening The Forest". This followed "Call of Avernus" (2010) and "White Hoarhound" (2012). 2015 will see the latter two being re-released with new artwork on CD via PRC Music, and "Call of Avernus" being given a first-time vinyl release via HeviSike Records.
Alunah are Sophie Day on vocals and guitar, David Day on guitar, Daniel Burchmore on bass, and Jake Mason on drums. Their desire is a simple one; to forevermore bring beautiful, heavy and original songs to their loyal audience, and captivate others...
... and captivate they do. Sharing a stage with respected artists such as Paradise Lost, Trouble, Saint Vitus, Graveyard, High on Fire, Jex Thoth, Fu Manchu, The Sword; and playing festivals such as DesertFest (Germany and England), Heavy Days in Doom Town (Denmark), Up in Smoke (Switzerland), and Hard Rock Hell (Wales), has brought Alunah to the attention of a whole generation of heavy music fans. Alunah have come from the Earth, where the dead do rest. Rising from the undergrowth. Watching over your sweet eternal sleep.
"They play heavy music rooted in the tradition of Saint Vitus, but the focus isn’t so much on brute force but grace" (Decibal Magazine)
"A sure-fire sign that Alunah have the potential to exist amongst the greats" (Rock-A-Rolla Magazine)
"Signing to a major label has obviously given the four-piece clarity and this is their most mature release to date" (Terrorizer Magazine)
"Day's vocals lead the band's charge with a regal charisma, while the songwriting is refreshingly old-school" (Zero Tolerance Magazine)
"We are extremely happy to be appearing at a festival that is not only local to us, but is also one that is held in such high regard by the metal community. It will be an absolute honour to play alongside fellow Midlanders Napalm Death and Godflesh, and long-time influences such as Opeth and Orange Goblin. The last half of 2015 will be a busy time for Alunah, and we're looking forward to kicking it all off with an appearance at Bloodstock!"
