Band Line Up 2015

They decided to change their name in 2013 following a series of changes in personnel, adding to the lineup UK Subs and SNFU drummer Jamie Oliver, synth guy Joel Barnes, bassist Tom Mason and guitar teacher Matt Prior. They felt that selling people a band that only featured one of the original members was somehow intellectually dishonest and they wanted to create a more coherent package and less disjointed online presence. And so The Izuna Drop was born.
This time around, in theme with their DIY approach, the band decided to self-record, self-produce and self-release their own music and in March 2015 they put out their first record entitled 'The Izuna Drop' on their own record label Engineer The Infected Records, to a crescendo of critical acclaim.

Bloodstock Open Air is widely regarded as the holy grail of metal festivals. Bands compete for months to get a slot on its smallest stage, people travel from all over the globe to it and its crew have an ethos much like our own; promoting peace, tolerance, respect, love, freedom, friendship, strength, understanding and a burning passion for music. So imagine the joy that came flooding through our hearts when The Izuna Drop were offered a slot on the Sophie Lancaster stage at Bloodstock this year. We literally are as happy as a dog with two dicks.
