Band Line Up 2018

Luke Appleton is the bassist of US Metal band Iced Earth and guitarist of British metal band Absolva. 

Luke joined Iced Earth in 2012, performing on their latest DVD ‘Live In Ancient Kourion’ and recording on the last 2 albums ‘Plagues of Babylon’ and ‘Incorruptible’. With extensive touring over the last 6 years, Luke has had the pleasure of touring alongside bands such as Volbeat, Sabaton, Sanctuary and many more. 

Having a traditional yet modern metal sound, Absolva have toured with the likes of Michael Schenker, Iced Earth, Blaze Bayley and more. Luke and his brother Chris Appleton join their creative minds and combine their song writing talents to create the metal sound that is Absolva.

With a heavy touring schedule around the world with both artists, Luke still finds time to tour his solo acoustic project, releasing his debut cd ‘How Does It Feel To Be Alive?’ in March 2018. 

Luke has just finished an extensive European tour opening for Blaze Bayley (ex Iron Maiden) as special guest of Blaze’s Trilogy album tour in April & May 2018.
