Band Line Up 2019

Formed in 1990 & responsible for a string of demo releases on the underground that gained the band notoriety in publications such as Terrorizer, Metal Hammer, even Kerrang as well as various underground zines out at the time. They were always an accomplished live act on the scene & gained interest from various labels, however in 95` the band ceased to be blasphemer & became Dominion signed onto Peaceville records (those releases are no relevance to the band in its current guise). Fast forward to 2014 when founding guitarists Mass & Arno decided to reprise Blasphemer with the original intent set out 1990-1994 Old school death metal done as it was, drawing influences from DEATH, OBITUARY, CARCASS, CELTIC FROST, MASSACRE, SLAYER, METALLICA, EXHORDER, MORBID ANGEL, DEICIDE & more bands of that age. 

With the recruitment of Bassist Dale Brown & Drummer Dan Mullins the band entered Academy studios to record their first album under the moniker of Blasphemer in the Summer of 2015 - Self titled the album (released on Canometal records Jan 2017) received favourable reviews & gained great support from the metal community in a short space of time & of the live shows the band proceeded to play over the following 2yrs gain even more momentum. 

Throughout this time more songs were constructed for what’s is the current "Lust of the Goat" album released via Grindscene records Nov 2018 & once again recorded at the Academy studios the band have upped their game to create a more vicious and to the point album that whilst having one foot planted in the past shows all the signs & portents of modern ferocity.

Blasphemer are very excited at the opportunity to play Bloodstock 2019. The festival is one of the most prominent festivals for extreme metal music in the UK & we look forward

To bringing our particular brand of lunacy to the proceedings! Sharing the stage with fantastic acts & playing the S.O.P.H.I.E stage is also something close to everyone in the band,

We hope to give it our all & make 2019 an unforgettable bloodstock for our part to the organisers & the patrons. No sleep till bloodstock!
