Band Line Up 2024

Goblinsmoker, hailing from the north east, telling the tale of the Toad King. Sent to spread the word of the discontented ruler of the Goblin Forest and smoker of sacrificial goblins. Fuzz soaked riffs, bleak black metal atmospherics. Toad King, worship him.
 

Starting as a one-man project in Durham in late 2016 with the aim to create a mythology that would be fully entwined in the band's sound, lyrical content and art. The band focuses on telling the story of the Toad King, the discontented ruler of the goblins. Their forest home is a place where goblin subjects willingly sacrifice themselves to be smoked by their King. The full story is being told over a trilogy of releases.

The project was an initially a journey of self-fulfilment with no plans to play live or expectancy of it being far-reaching. However, following the release of the first instalment ‘Toad King’, which sold out in a few days, the band gained significant attention and show offers. The decision was made flesh the band out into a live band and take the ‘toad on the road’.

The years that have followed has seen the band establish themselves, playing shows throughout the UK and Europe, touring Sweden and playing festivals in Germany. 2024 is a significant year for the band with the coming release of the final part of the ‘Toad King Trilogy’ through APF Records, as well as featuring on several established festivals including Desertfest, Riffolution Fest and of course, bringing the word of the Toad King to Catton Park for Bloodstock 2024.
