Band Line Up 2024

Lurcher is the passion project of Joe Harvatt (Mark Morton Band, ex-Hark), Simon Bonwick (Goat Major, ex-Hark) & Paul Williams (Flayed Disciple). An alternative metal band hailing from West Wales, formed in 2021 and drawing on elements of stoner, doom, sludge and grunge. 2024 brings the release of their new 4-track EP “Breathe” on Trepanation Recordings.

Expanding on the template of the lauded “Coma” EP, 2021, “Breathe” sees Lurcher explore the wider extremities of their sonic landscape. From the reflective low-fi introduction of “Never Over’ to the fast paced assault of “Blister” the trio define the full range of their craft. Drawing on themes relating to accepting change, reflection, peace and time, Breathe’s journey navigates a progression through introspective thought set to the time-honoured backdrop of loud guitars, drums and bass.
