Band Line Up 2014

Starting as a three piece acoustic act, James, Chez and Sime were playing local haunts armed with an arsenal of classic grunge and rock covers, this led very quickly to demands for them to play full gigs.

After trialling drummers and bass players, Sev the Beardy bass player joined the ranks followed shortly by Mark on drums.

2012 saw RESIN playing many venues in the UK supporting bands such as DR THE MEDICS, VOODOO SIX, SLAM CARTEL, INTERNAL CONFLICT, SPIRYTUS, MORDECAI, to name but a few.

Receiving regular airtime on radio stations around the world and multiple acoustic BBC sessions, RESIN rounded off 2012 to a capacity crowd at the “EMBRACE THE FALL” album launch party.

In 2013, behind the scenes new songs were being put together and the highlight of the year for RESIN was being invited to play BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL.

Shortly after that Mark decided to give up the drum stool and so began what became a six month search for a replacement.The last piece in the jigsaw turned out to beEx Defiled drummer Danny Finch.

This year, RESIN have released their first video; an acoustic track titled ‘BESKADIG’ from the debut album which is sung in Afrikaans and proved to be very popular with their fans.

The band are now in the studio and recording the follow up album which will be a massive step up from the self-produced debut. The first single and video are planned to be released end of July / early August. During this time RESIN are gigging as relentlessly as they always do.

We entered last year and made the final and it never occurred to us not to try again, we have always been a very hard working band and have always strived to up our game, we refuse to accept failure. We think that we have accomplished what we set out to do. We have always wanted to play the New Blood stage at Bloodstock and having won M2TM, it has now been made possible for us to take the next step we wanted!

We are over the moon at such a huge accomplishment for the band and plan on striving to take further steps in the future. Winning M2TM is exactly what we need at this point in time! To fail is not to try in the first place. To succeed is to achieve what you are capable of at any given time. To every band out there, don't give up!
