Described by Kerrang! Radio’s Alex Baker as a band possessing “killer riffs, monstrous vocals and more hooks than a slaughterhouse”, London’s powerhouse heavy-rock innovators The Mercy House are a band with more than just a lot to say. Their music combines a socio-political punch with a fresh musical approach vital in the current climate of bland sound-a-like rock music. They refuse to play up to the industry and scene stereotypes being fed to them daily.
Following the 2012 release of their critically acclaimed debut album "A Broken State of Bliss", the band is now ready to launch new songs that have focused their collective ambition to a new level. Songs born from the frustration of watching social injustice continue within a system that is gradually removing the voice and empowerment of the individual.
From the beginning the band has raised eyebrows with a powerful live show that they have taken across the length and breadth of the UK as well as over into Europe. The Mercy House have played for crowds across various genres thanks to the myriad of influences found in their style, many of which are rarely found in a band still so strongly rooted in heavy music.
Their target is now to build on this reputation with more fierce shows and relentless touring to accompany the release of their follow up record. With an unprecedented work ethic and determination, the band is poised to strike with an iron fist in 2014.
