TORUS
Massive riffs. Colossal tunes. It’s a simple formula, loved by millions and endlessly plundered by countless great musicians across five decades of balls-out rock’n’roll fury. But even the greatest ideas need an upgrade every now and then. Armed with some of the biggest riffs currently available to human ears, and blessed with an unerring knack for penning monster melodies and monolithic, sing-along choruses, Torus are the next last word in overdriven riff worship. Fuelled by a lifelong love of loud and heavy rock, Alfie formed Torus at the end of 2019. Inspired by decades of powerhouse riffing, from Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath to Kyuss and Queens Of The Stone Age, the new project demanded that everyone involved was on the same musical page. As a result, the arrival of bassist Harry Quinn made perfect sense. Having played together in countless bands in their native Milton Keynes over the preceding years, the duo swiftly developed a fizzing and intuitive, creative partnership.
