Band Line Up 2022

Founded in 2019, Viction is a Norwegian metal band with roots in Melodic death metal and Thrash metal, taking inspiration from bands such as Gojira, Metallica, Arch Enemy, Behemoth and Sepultura among others. The band consists of Daniel Guthormsen, Ole Stensgård, Leonid Melnikov and Teodor Thyvold all Rock and Metal alumni from Norway’s “Rock and Metal” course at “Buskerud Folkehøgskole” The band hit the Norwegian scene in early 2020, participating at the Norwegian M2TM winning their heat. With the Covid-19 pandemic all shows in Norway came to a halt, putting a stop to any further plans for the band. The band used this situation to hone their skills and spent a majority of their time practicing as much as possible, returning to the stage in October 2020 for a covid friendly show in Oslo which received great response. 

In 2022 with M2TM returning, the band felt the need to finish what was started 2 years earlier and ended up victorious.  Now the band is ready for the future, playing Bloodstock, supporting Kryptos from India and releasing their debut album later this year.
