AKLASH
The aesthetical concepts of Aklash were conceived when the founding members, Nicholas Millar and Daniel Scrivener, attended a Wolves in the Throne Room gig in Brighton. Here both members; who contemporaneously where heavily experimenting with a range of methods to expand consciousness, vowed to create their own form of musical and spiritual promogation to venerate the philosophies and musical idiums encapsulated in the performance they witnessed. The love of hypnotic blast beats and esoteric harmonies remained an anchor to which melodic and lyrical themes where set.
Aklash have struggled through a series of line up changes, relying on close friends and a strong community of fellow musicians to remain functioning as a band over the years. Most recently we have been joined by Chris Kendell to complete the ensemble, but have seen a great wealth of bassists and drummers who have selflessly stepped up to the challenge in times of need. Whilst the band has progressed steadily over the years the fundamental ideals still remain true.
After the release of the debut album featuring the bands first composition “Wander beyond the celestial plains” and a track later set to video “Solstice”, composition and recording remained steady. Now we await, poised for the ideal moment, to release our new wave of contemplation and composition outpourings entitled, “Where the Ocean meets the Sky”.
"It is with deep reverence and humility that we take to the stage of Bloodstock. The final bastion of the cult of Dionysus and battle ground of the barbarous hordes of our fair Albion Isles! Hark and Lo! For the hour of our enunciation is at hand! Many years have we been amongst the throng and waded amongst the dirge and dissonance. Now, the fruit of our toil comes to ripen and we grasp the reaching vine and glance towards the faces of the Gods! Now, here, now and always! The spirit of our endeavours surpasses all earthly bounds - Dare you walk amongst the illuminated and wander beyond the celestial plains? We invite you to raise your voice in stentor, the loud lament of the disconsolate chimea, and join the congregation of the righteous. Join us and bask in the dispergent harmony, hark the converse of the path of light and cast your soul adrift upon the sea of stars."
