Band Line Up 2016

We are Far From History, a band of five determined young men forming in august of 2012. Exploring the depths of metal and going to the great extent of individually integrating everything we possibly can to create a huge sound. We take massive influences from our heroes such as slipknot, periphery and for the fallen dreams, listening, learning and expanding our knowledge on what is purely FAT. A mixture of hard-core riffs and pure chugging groove, we deliver a blow that could shatter bones. With sharing the stage alongside the mighty Hacktivist, Invocation and Continents we are ready to roll with the big guns.

Having already headlined shows in and around London our goal is to grow and have a gnarly time doing it. Our best show being in our home town of Harlow, packing out our local venue that goes by the name “The Square”, the energy and campoardary was jaw clenchingly brilliant, with the stage and floor being filled with passionate fans, stage diving, crowd surfing and screaming the lyrics at the top of their voice, we cannot wait to get our hands on more events just like that one.

When on the road we are simply, beers & boards, loud & lively, fun & games. We strictly believe that FUN is all part of the day to day life of Far From History. After putting on an energetic, aggressive and incredibly sweaty performance, we are easily approachable and will happily take the moment to chin wag over a pint with anyone that's willing to share stories, have a laugh or exchange knowledge, as long as you can withstand our smell. We live for our music. It comes straight from the heart, everything you've heard or will hear is raw emotion, pure aggression, relentless fun & much more. We believe we have no boundaries when it comes to writing, you will never know what's next, from fast paced energy, to slow crushing doom. Shockwave Asylum is a good example of this.

In the time that we have been FFH, we have met some extraordinary people and made some life long friends. Us lads believe in building a metal community where bands support one another instead of competing against each other. We all have a message to share, so why not do it together.

Our upcoming EP, Gallows Hill, is a reflection of our raw emotion towards the obstacles we’ve had to face together or by ourselves. How to deal with loss, tragedy & self acceptance. Being judged for someone you are not, can be bewildering and so Gallows Hill teaches to rise above anyone that has something negative to preach about you. The root of your anger can be the strongest weapon when used creatively. To look inward before reacting and using your aggression in a positive way.

We had an awesome time playing the metal to the masses competition met some awesome bands and some awesome people, we are so stoked that we won the competition this year, as you probably saw we pretty much started a mosh pit to the sound of our own excitement when the announcement was made. Bloodstock is going to be the next big milestone for us, we aim to blow the tent down with some heavy breakdowns, hardcore blast beats, and piercing vocals.
