BEYOND THE BLACK
Beyond The Black. Only two years ago, Jennifer and her band colleagues celebrated their live debut on stage at the legendary Wacken Open Air 2014. Just a few months later they got the great honour to support SAXON on the UK dates of their world-tour. On February 13th 2015 the band released their debut full-length album Songs of Love and Death, which reached 12th place in the German music charts. The album was produced by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, Edguy, Epica, Kamelot, Rhapsody) and received highly positive reactions by critics all over Europe.
The hype just started and since that Beyond The Black has constantly been on the road. They played their own headliner tour in spring and autumn 2015 plus several of Germany’s biggest rock- & metal-festivals. The metal scene consciously perceived this unstoppable newcomer. So Beyond The Black was supporting Queensryche in Holland and Within Temptation in Switzerland. This tremendous yet busy year for the young band culminated in receiving the Metal Hammer Award 2015 in the category “Best Debut”. Between all that they were working on their second full-length album Lost in Forever, which was released in February 2016 (G/A/S) and will be released worldwide soon.
With a new album and new energy at their back they went on their biggest tour so far in spring 2016: As a special guest they accompanied the most successful rock band in the world, The Scorpions, who are currently celebrating their 50th Anniversary World Tour. Beyond the Black’s Jennifer Haben: "It is a great honour for us to stand on one stage with such huge Rock N Roll icons and we are very grateful to be celebrating 50 years of Scorpions with them."
And the story continues: On May 30th and 31st Beyond the Black will be supporting metal heroes Korn on the Belgium and Luxemburg leg of their 2016 world-tour.
Vocalist Jennifer Haben: "Bloodstock will be our very first festival appearance in UK ever and we are super stoked that it is such an important and renowned one for the metal scene right away. We are on fire and thrilled about returning to our fans in the UK finally!"
