Band Line Up 2016

The Face of Ruin is a melodic death metal band from Warwick.

Formed in 2014 over a shared love of heavy music and shit horror films, the band plays an infectiously catchy and heavy blend of melodeath riffs, brutal breakdowns and black metal vibes (as well as taking influence from a multitude of other genres).

The band's reputation is built on their fun-loving attitude and energetic live show, which involves copious amounts of headbanging, movie samples and the now standard ‘wave your hand in the air whenever there's a blast beat’ move. 

Over the past year, The Face Of Ruin have played prestigious venues across the Midlands, including Birmingham’s 02 Academy 2.

We’re ridiculously pleased to have won Birmingham’s Metal To The Masses and to finally get the opportunity to play our favourite festival!

Metal To The Masses has given us so many opportunities; we've met great bands, promoters and new fans. All of this has helped us get shows, build our profile and generally help us get where we are today. 

It's also encouraged our development as a band, from our live show to our music.

Metal To The Masses is a vital and incredible part of the UK metal scene, giving bands the chance to make new friends, gain exposure and potentially get a slot at an incredible festival. We'd encourage any band to enter!
