Band Line Up 2017

Dakesis are a Progressive-Power Metal band from the home of heavy metal, Birmingham UK. Formed in 2008, they burst onto the scene with an explosive and captivating live show and self-titled  four track E.P.  After extensive touring and prestigious support slots with the likes of Edguy, Pagan’s Mind and Blaze Bayley, 2011 saw the release of their debut album ‘Trial By Fire’,  a release they reworked into an exclusive acoustic set for Bloodstock’s 2012 Jägermeister Stage.

Dakesis have since established themselves as one of the most hardworking and ambitious groups on the live circuit, and in March 2016, they released their second full length album ‘The New Dawn’, a grandiose 79 minute concept album to much critical acclaim from press and fans alike, spanning a musical journey from powerful metal anthems, to expansive, progressive instrumental and orchestral soundscapes. The  album launch was an incredible sold out event, and was quickly followed by two headline tours of the UK, before flying onwards to Finland in support of Thunderstone as special guests for a tour that included an opening night at the famous Tavastia Clubi in Helsinki.
