Band Line Up 2017

Solar Sons are a 3 piece progressive rock band emerging from the depths of Scotland's underground heavy metal scene. Early 2016 saw the release of the band’s debut album “The Great Blue Divide”; self-recorded in their home studio. The music crosses different genres seamlessly as though it were crossing that great divide between sky and space. The result is an eclectic arrangement of classic rock and heavy metal, blended with progressive styles and inspired by the likes of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Rush. 

In their cosmic slipstream they leave behind a plethora of merchandise and words of a second album near completion. Their mission is to reignite the passion for heavy music that hurtles right through you. Music that is as personal as it gets; their sound is defined by the cosmic fingerstyle of bass ace Rory, the mind-bending, spacey licks of guitarist Danny and the superior drumming of Pete – pounding extra-terrestrial life into the heart and soul of Solar Sons.

Solar Sons are over the moon to be playing at Bloodstock this year! We would like to thank Simon and the Bloodstock crew, as well as everyone else involved with Metal to the Masses, for giving bands like ourselves such an amazing opportunity. Massive gratitude to our fans who have supported us this far, we can't wait to see everyone at Bloodstock Festival 2017!
