Band Line Up 2017

With an outlook of absolute blackness and esoteric lore, Heathen Deity hail from the English Midlands and was formed in 1998 by Vocalist Dagon (Frostwork).

Soon after he would be joined by songwriter and guitarist Azrael (Ethereal Forest, 13 Candles). Driven and inspired by the Black Metal sound and traditions of the 1990s the band would release an EP " Walpurgisnacht : For the Glory of Satan" and embark across the UK with a series of live performances that would draw interest and set in stone the bands notorious reputation within the UK Black Metal scene. In 2004 the band would fall into a lengthy hiatus.

2016 would see the rebirth and a new era of the band that would accumulate in a new line up and a string of packed out dates within England playing with the likes of Horna and The Infernal Sea. In early 2017 the band issued a demo "Religious Purification Through Fire" on the Azermedoth Records label. The band are currently working on their long overdue debut album. Heathen Deity is a force that will not lie down and die.
