Band Line Up 2017

'Hailing from the Truro/Redruth area, Mantra have always wanted to incorporate the modern and old sounds of metal along with various other sub-genres in an effort to create their own unique sound taking influence from modern bands like Sylosis, Trivium Children Of Bodom, as well as older thrash bands such as Testament and Metallica. Mantra started in the autumn of 2014 and began playing locally, before eventually finding an audience in the Plymouth music scene and eventually got their music further out into cities such as London, Worthing and Sheffield. 

In the summer of 2016, Mantra released their debut EP titled 'The Withered World' which brought them to their first London show as well as a string of south west shows to promote the release. In February of this year, Mantra went on their first headline tour playing to brand new audiences before playing to their biggest audience yet on the final date in Plymouth. As for the rest of the year, Mantra still have quite a lot planned (including some brand new music!) so be sure to look out for them in 2017.

We are beyond excited to be a part of Bloodstock Festival this year. Playing Bloodstock is literally a dream come true for us as a lot of the bands on the line-up this year (as well as previous years) are bands we have been looking up to ever since we first got into metal from an early age. To be playing the same festival as these iconic artists is surreal and we cannot wait to get on stage and give it our all!
