ENDEAVOUR
Endeavour are a collective of nerds with a knack for making crushing progressive metal. Channeling the aggression of bands like Machine Head and Pantera into the progressive form of bands such as Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree; Endeavour combine dual vocal harmonies, mammoth riffs and versatile songwriting to forge modern metal with an old-school ethos.
The band released their debut EP ‘From The Darkest Grounds’, in 2014, and have since been gig-ging in support of the release which included a slot at the 2015 Bloodstock Festival in England. Meanwhile, each member has been working on individual projects. Iain recently finished Europe-an, UK, and South American tours providing guitar duties for Onslaught, while Chris has worked with One Machine (featuring ex-members of Testament/Nevermore, Biomechanical, Savage Mes-siah), writing and recording vocals on 2015’s full length ‘The Final Cull’ and touring alongside Overkill and Vader in April 2016.
2016 saw the genesis of “Endeavour Presents: One Nation Under Prog”, Bristol’s first ever dedicat-ed prog metal night. The night was a storming success, bringing together the local prog community with acts from around the UK. Alongside the gig, the band has brought fans together via “One Na-tion Under Prog” Facebook group and are planning the next few gigs later this year.
Most recently the band performed a storming set at Bristol’s acclaimed venue Thekla to sold out show supporting Evil Scarecrow. The band is currently working towards their next release, due out later this years.
"Bloodstock has become a second home to us, both as punters and musicians. We played the Jägermeister stage back in 2015 where we got an insane crowd reaction from fans old and new, with intense mosh pits and an epic wall of death (which we're pretty sure was a Jäger stage first!). To come back playing the Sophie Lancaster stage is sincerely a dream come true. With new songs in the works for release this year, we're beyond excited for the opportunity to unleash them on the prog contingent at BOA - live and loud, through a big fuck-off speaker system. It's going to be awesome!"
