Band Line Up 2021

Desolation are a 4 piece Melodic Groove Metal band from Darlington.  Formed in 2017.  They have released 2 EPs and played numerous shows across the North East.  Blending many different styles of music and never conforming to the status quo, there is something for everyone in their music.

We are absolutely buzzing about and feel honoured to be playing such a prestigious festival. We originally joined metal to the masses to meet other bands and do gig swaps, and we have had a fantastic time over the last few years. Both other times we have played in the competition, we have got to the final, so when we were asked if we would like to play again this year, naturally, we jumped at the chance. We have never looked and thought 'What if we won' and just enjoyed the gigs so now it has been confirmed we can begin our journey to Bloodstock. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along this journey and we expect to see you all in front of the New Blood stage in August.
