Band Line Up 2021
After many line up changes over the years Thunderous Jones finally released their debut single ‘HOME’ on 1st November 2019.
Taking their name from a “forgotten joke” Thunderous Jones have found themselves at the start of something very special.
Hailing from the Midlands, UK they have captured a sound rich in dark, churning metal riffs with a twist of soaring harmonies and emotion. There’s no escaping the prog influence in certain tracks and have also regarded as Djent influenced.
The band is made up by Liam Coffey (vocals) Danny O’Connell (guitars/vocals) Connor Croxford (bass) Jack Banister (guitars) and Tom Bevan (drums)
HOME has been championed by Kerrang! Radio and BBC Radio, along with various reviewers and online magazines.
Their follow up single THE WIRE was released in March 2020. Which was also picked up by major radio stations, worldwide.
During the global coronavirus pandemic in 2020, they released a “limited lockdown” - 9 and a half minute demo entitled STOP THE SHOW on their social media platforms. It gained thousands of views on Facebook alone, in under a week, before the band removed it... for now.
STOP THE SHOW caught the attention of Kerrang! Radio’s Johnny Doom, who (despite it being in demo form) played it on his radio show.
A later collaboration with Johnny Doom saw their single FALLEN released on 1st January 2021, along with double a-side track CHOKED.
This double a-side single went global, instantly. Finding itself being aired on Kerrang’s ‘Fresh Blood’ and ‘Unleashed’ shows, Primordial’s popular ‘Presents’ show and from this release, the band has been tipped by global charting show ‘Alyx Plays Punk’ as “ones to watch in 2021”
Their debut album, also entitled ‘STOP THE SHOW’ is due to be released, summer 2021. After it was put back 6 months due to the COVID global pandemic.
Getting the news that we were going to be added to the epic BOA 2021 line up was a VERY welcome boost to a difficult year! We can’t wait to get on that stage and raise some hell! See you all in August!
