Band Line Up 2021

Founded in 2019, Odyssesus is the creative vision of vocalist Racheal Downey and guitarist Kevin Testagrossa. Racheal’s raw, brutal vocals and Kevins skill as not only a musician but producer as well, resulted in some eye-catching demos released in late 2019 to recruit other musicians to progress the project. Bassist Tom Rose was invited to join and the 3 clicked, the first meeting resulting in a road map for the future of the band being set out as well as a name for the band, ODYSSEUS, due to their shared interest in Greek mythology. Over the following months, various other members were trialled until drummer Sam Martin and guitarist Dylan Knaggs were finally added to the roster, completing the ODYSSEUS line-up. 

On the 1st of February 2020, the band released their first single and music video for their song "Wretched", receiving much positive feedback and gaining the band a strong reputation within the Manchester underground metal scene. as with every other artist, 2020 put pain to the bands many gig and festival appearances, however they did not sit idle, releasing their second single and video for "Thy Gathering" in lockdown, the video being shot by a socially distanced covid-safe crew and the song itself being mixed and mastered by the bands own Kevin Testagrossa. 

With the UK lockdown restrictions finally lifting, the ODYSSEUS gig Calander is rapidly filling up, and they are bringing their own brand of technical deth-metal to Bloodstock 2021

Playing Bloodstock is truly a dream come true for us. As an up and coming band in the scene, the ability to play one the biggest and best heavy music festivals in the country is nothing short of amazing and we cannot wait to tear up the New Blood stage. After a year of every show and festival we were booked on being cancelled, we are hungry to play live again and we are fully ready to put on a show worthy of bloodstock. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all involved making this possible for us.
