Band Line Up 2021
Drawing from their eclectic background, Ward XVI are inspired by a whole host of musical masters, including Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Diablo Swing Orchestra and Avatar.
It all started with the release of ‘The Art of Manipulation’ in 2017. This first chapter of a planned trilogy of concept albums revealed the sordid story of Psychoberrie-now incarcerated among the warped inhabitants of Ward XVI. The album was greeted with critical acclaim whilst also providing the soundtrack to an award-winning performance at Bloodstock Open Air Festival in August 2017, where a legion of rabid inmates decended upon the New-blood stage at 1030AM.
2 intense years of touring followed as Ward XVI gripped UK audiences with their headline ‘Scare in the Community’ tour, A 14-date tour of the UK with Doyle (of the Misfits) and a 10-date UK tour with Red Rum. Ward XVI went from strength to strength, wowing the crowds with appearances at Hammerfest 2019, HRH Metal Meltdown, Amplified, Breaking Bands, SOS Festival and Ragnarok Festival.
The second chapter of Psychoberrie’s confessional ‘Metamorphosis’, was released in September 2020- again to critical acclaim, winning a spot in many top 10 album polls of 2020. The inmates countered the effects of a Covid-19 ravaged year by posting online acoustic sessions, which were then released as the EP ‘Unplugged and Sedated’,due to the overwhelming demand in December 2020.
Plans are afoot for the release of Whittingham Asylum’s Inmates with the Album Launch rescheduled for Sat 18th December 2021 at Manchester Academy and main-stage festival slots for 2021/22 including Hammerfest, Hard Rock Hell XIV and a headline slot alongside Acid Reign and Senser at the first ever Tanking Open Air Festival. A full UK tour is due to be announced in the coming weeks along with further announcements.

When the dust settled following the events of that morning, Psychoberrie's eyes were widened by the scale of carnage that she had orchestrated, and became obsessively fixated on returning to the hallowed fields of Catton Park to finish what she had started all those years ago and to fulfil her sordid ambition of welcoming the fans of Bloodstock into her Asylum".
