CROWN SOLACE

Crown Solace was formed in 2020 in Aberdeen Scotland by Guitarist and Songwriter Valentyn Tkach. He was looking to create symphonic metal with modern twist, breaking the mould for the genre and adding something new that would set the band aside from its already established counterparts.
Val enlisted the talents of Bass player and harsh vocalist, Callum Hutchinson along with soprano Ally Watson
The group released their debut single Obscured Reality to great reviews however shortly after they parted ways with their vocalist Ally
Val approached countertenor Pete Rawcliffe after hearing his work on Instagram and asked if he would be interested on trying his vocals on a track they had prepared for the original vocalist - Pete was up for the challenge and the guys liked what he did, resulting in him becoming the new vocalist for Crown Solace.
The single Horizons was released on the 18th of February. Drawing inspiration form bands such as @Nightwish , Amaranthe , Architects and Epica , this bombastic symphonic metal track is sure to get noticed from its originality and divergence from the normal tropes within the genre. The main point of difference is Pete’s trained sopranist voice coupled with Callum’s hardcore screams - a combo that’s never been done before!
In November 2022 the band released a follow up single to Horizons, called Inside My Mind. The track was mixed and mastered by Frank Pitters at Silveline Music ( Visions of Atlantis / Edenbridge )
We are honoured to announce that Crown Solace will make our live debut at Bloodstock Open Air 2025. After years of crafting our sound in the shadows, we’re stepping into the light to bring our vision to the stage — symphonic power, haunting beauty, and metal forged in fire. This will be the first time our music meets the roar of a live crowd… and we couldn’t ask for a more powerful festival to begin this journey!
