Band Line Up 2025
Originally formed as 'Descending Angels', in 2018 guitarists Ash Wilson & Zak Smith recruited Lana Phillis as vocalist. Re-forging themselves as ‘Phoenix Lake’, the band finalised their melodic metal outfit with drummer Joe Synnott.
Phoenix Lake are an English melodic metal band with comparison to Within Temptation, Parkway Drive & Evanescence. ‘Phoenix Lake’ deliver tastes of melodic metal & metalcore with alluring vocals & beautiful harmonies. They write their music from a very personal perspective, often crafting captivating storylines, hooks and melodies.
Their debut EP, ‘Beyond The Flames’, (released in June 2023) fast-gathered acclaim and left their listeners wanting more.
Alongside their explosive live performances, the band are working heavily on their debut concept album. The unyielding momentum attributed to their latest single, Fractured Wings, found national airplay on stations such as BBC Radio One & Kerrang!
The band are quickly making a name for themselves, with current career highlights being opening the prestigious Sophie Lancaster stage at Bloodstock festival 2023, support slots for UK Metallers Skarlett Riot and selling out their latest hometown headline show at Nottingham’s famous Rock City on the Beta stage.
2024 will see the band hit more shows & festival slots such as Maid Of Stone festival, playing alongside heavyweight bands like Wolfmother, Mr Big, The Warning & many more.
Phoenix Lake are here to make waves in the scene and show no signs of slowing down!
