RULED BY RAPTORS

Bursting onto the scene in 2018 with a genre churning post-hardcore style, that proudly straddles the line between Punk & Metal; Ruled By Raptors emerged fully formed from the economically recovering mining towns of Southeast Northumberland. Carving out a reputation for high-octane live performances, progressive elements, pounding riffs and a mix of powerful melodic and fry vocals; the Newcastle quartet have cut their teeth in some of the UK’s most well-known venues from The Joiners in Southampton and Rough Trade in Bristol, all the way up to The Key Club in Leeds, and both King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and The Cathouse in Glasgow, all whilst remaining self-managed and independent.
Known for mixing it in with the Nerdcore Rap scene they have toured twice as backing band and support for MC Lars including Slam Dunk Festival 2022 and have also toured alongside Koo Koo, Lasertheboy, Schaffer The Darklord & Mega Ran as well as having played with bands such as Rxptrs, As December Falls, Wyres, Arxx, Mason Hill and more.
In the summer of 2022, they released their latest record 'Silent Sound', produced by legendary producer Romesh Dodangoda (Nova Twins, Funeral For A Friend, Bring Me The Horizon) at his Wales based Longwave Studios, garnering much fanfare with the likes of Alex Baker of Kerrang! Radio amongst supporters of the record. As of 2025 RBR continue to work on their next and biggest release to date, an untitled 8 track mini album due for late 2025 / early 2026.

We feel honoured and overjoyed to have been selected to represent Newcastle at this years Bloodstock Festival. As four lads who’ve worked hard playing up and down the country over the last 7 years, the result of the competition is still sinking in and we’re riding a very big high right now.
The gratitude we have for everyone who has been on this journey with us over the last few years is immeasurable, we feel indebted to all of you who have enabled us to follow our passions and supported us every step of the way.
Opportunities like this only come around once or twice in a lifetime and we intend to show the Newblood Stage what Newcastle has to offer and give our audience the best show to date!
