Band Line Up 2025

Desolator are a 3 piece speed/thrash metal band formed in 2010 in Southampton, UK. Desolator channel the aggression of old school thrash metal, applied with a fun, enthusiastic approach to catchy hooks and ripping riffage, with duelling vocals throughout. "This is all action moshing mania with accelerating riffage and rampant rhythms, stark strafing snaggle- tooth sonicity" - Malcom Dome. 

They put out a self released demo in 2011, which helped secure support slots with Sacred Reich, DRI and Warbringer. A full length album "Total Attack" then followed in 2013, "Accelerator EP" in 2014, contribution to Sony Music's Speed Kills 7 with song "Full Power in 2016, and the recent release of the long anticipated second album "Spirit Of Speed" in April 2025. Following the first album the band embarked on a 3 week European tour in 2015 with Nervosa and Crisix, as well as gigs with Municipal Waste, Gama Bomb, Anvil, Voivod and others.

Apart from being included in Speed Kills 7 the band were also included as part of the biographic book "A Contract in Blood: A History of UK Thrash Metal" and accompanying compilation CD. Since the formation of the band, the members have remained the same for now over 15 years which is testament to the metal bond which is shared between them, and the mutual love of delivering a full power, high energy, fun and savage live show of thrashing high speed metal.
