DOGMA
DOGMA calls out like a mythological siren, summoning those adrift in the seas of conformity. Formed by four women—Lilith (vocals), Lamia (lead guitar), Nixe (bass), and Abrahel (drums)—DOGMA has become a powerful force in hard rock and metal. Their music, ideology, and chaos combine to create an experience that challenges the status quo and defies categorization. They embody a blend of creative passion, empowered sensuality, and unyielding freedom, all while wielding their music as a weapon against ignorance and oppression.
The members of DOGMA adopt the names of legendary feminine entities from various ancient cultures, symbolizing their commitment to refashioning the modern world. Their songs, driven by massive riffs, dynamic rhythms, and conceptually rich storytelling, draw on the timeless theatricality of bands like KISS and Alice Cooper, while resonating with the contemporary power of acts such as The Pretty Reckless and In This Moment.
DOGMA's debut self-titled album, released in November 2023, is a bold statement of rebellion and liberation. The album's 11 tracks explore themes of lost innocence, defiance against imposed faith, and the struggle for freedom from illogical beliefs. With songs like "Forbidden Zone," "Feel The Zeal," and "Made Her Mine," DOGMA invites listeners to break free from societal constraints and embrace their true selves.
In June 2024, DOGMA embarked on their first major tour across Latin America, performing alongside the renowned Italian folk metal band Wind Rose. This tour was a pivotal moment for the band, cementing their credibility as a live act capable of delivering powerful and unforgettable performances. The tour included several solo shows, allowing DOGMA to showcase their unique sound and stage presence to even larger audiences. Just before the tour, DOGMA added Rusalka as their rhythm guitarist, further enhancing their sound and stage presence with a more powerful and dynamic performance.
The impact of the tour was undeniable. DOGMA selling out physical CDs and LPs, and their monthly listeners, followers, likes, and views grew exponentially. Each show solidified DOGMA's reputation as a band that could not only deliver in the studio but also electrify live audiences.
At the core of DOGMA's message is a powerful statement of purpose: in a time when freedom is vast yet constantly in jeopardy, DOGMA champions the essential liberties of speech, expression, and thought. They reject external forces like religion and politics, urging others to forge their own paths and live authentically. DOGMA stands against repression of any kind, advocating for complete freedom, including sexual freedom, and encouraging individuals to pursue their desires without fear or shame. Their 13 principles guide their philosophy, emphasizing integrity, determination, and self-reliance. DOGMA believes that each person is their own god, unbound by any belief in a higher power.
In a world where nuns represent abstinence and repression, DOGMA subverts this iconography, standing for unbridled desire and freedom. They are not just a band; they are a movement, a cult, a way of life. DOGMA invites everyone to join them in embracing rebellion and living life to the fullest.
DOGMA's 13 Principles: -
Be a person of integrity. PracƟce what you preach. -
Find your objective and live your life following the path to reach it.
Fanaticism is forbidden.
Act now. Time is the most valuable thing in life. It is the only thing we can never get back.
Be determined to do everything possible to reach your goals.
No dream is too big to accomplish.
Separate sex from sentiment. Have sex with whomever you’d like, so long as it is consensual, without labels or prejudice of any kind.
Strive to become the best version of yourself by acknowledging and learning from your mistakes.
Answer to yourself, first and foremost. Collectivism and freedom are mortal enemies.
Religion is incompatible with reason. You are your own god.
Follow the laws of the land where you live.
Search your thoughts for the deeper meanings behind your motivations and decisions. “Because I like it” won’t suffice.
True freedom is to ask nothing, expect nothing, and depend on only yourself
