THEOCRACIDE

Hailing from Leeds, West Yorkshire, Theocracide are an exciting, young Thrash Metal, combining New Wave of Thrash influences such as Warbringer, Evile and Havok with a dose of crossover/hardcore from bands like Drain and Mindforce. The band was formed in 2023 by Bena Pietroni on guitar and vocals and Rosie Bristow on bass. The duo solidified and polished a host of high-speed tracks before completing the line-up with Fin Smith on drums and Max Howlett on lead guitar.
The band is becoming fully immersed in the UK metal scene with their ripping double-time, circle pit inducing riffs and crushing groove infused sections perfect for any two-step enthusiast. The band has played alongside some of the most exciting bands in the UK metal scene. Their debut gig took place on the 22nd of October 2023 at The Lending Room, Leeds, alongside the trifecta of Thrasherwolf, Hellfekted and Blacklist.
Since then Theocracide has gone on to support the likes of Godeth and Kilonova, with support slots for Devil’s Henchmen and Wailing Banshee scheduled for summer 2025. The band’s ferocious debut single, ‘Neutralise the Predator’, was released on 14th June 2024. The lyrics tackle issues of assault and sexual violence in society whilst providing an outlet for survivor’s rage and the desire for retribution with brutal efficiency. Theocracide went on to release two more second singles in ‘Warning Of The Serpent’ and ‘Spontaneous Human Combustion’, with further releases planned for 2025.
Bloodstock means so much to Theocracide. The festival is the highlight of every British metalhead’s year, so it’s crazy that we get to be part of Bloodstock 2025. For many of us, Bloodstock has been instrumental in shaping us as metalheads and has expanded our musical influences. We have friends we’ve made in previous years who we always reconnect with at the festival, which is one of the things that makes it so unique and special. It has shaped us as musicians by showing us the breadth of what it can mean to be a metal band and it’s so special that we can be part of it by playing on the Newblood Stage. We are so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get back to the amazing community of people who attend the festival every year. Long live Bloodstock!
