Band Line Up 2025

z machine

After forming in 2019 and enduring the lockdowns of 2020 and
2021, Z Machine bring together the improvisation of jazz and the complex
orchestrated passages of progressive rock to create a mix that's been likened
to King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gong and Dream Theater.
Featuring the fiery saxophone of Rob Harrison, the twin guitars of Owen Rosser and Gareth Piper, and the dynamic rhythm section of Maddy K on bass and Lester Greenhalgh on drums, Z Machine have an exciting and varied live show you can't miss.
We're all looking forward to playing the EMP Stage at Bloodstock 2025, doubly so as this year it's a sold out festival! Gareth and I have been regular Bloodstock attendees since 2010 and we've often found ourselves attracted to some interesting sounds coming from the EMP Stage, we hope that in 2025 Z Machine will be the source of some of those interesting sounds enticing people in.
I could be wrong, but we might be the first band with a saxophone to play Bloodstock?
