"Providence paves a divine path for the fearless. For two-time Grammy nominated guitarist Sin Quirin, the journey began with one pivotal moment. When the album Alive! by KISS was dropped in his lap at the age of six, Sin’s life changed forever. The rawness of Ace Frehley’s playing had Sin instantly captivated and led him further down the road of guitar excellence with Creedence Clear Water Revival, The Animals, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
After years of dedication to honing his craft, Sin cut his teeth performing with Society 1, American Head Charge, Lords of Acid, and Revolting Cocks. After being invited to join Ministry by Al Jourgensen, Sin committed to 15 exhilarating years in the band which catapulted his career into the rock and roll stratosphere. This chapter allowed Sin to shine with his songwriting on The Last Sucker (2007) and From Beer To Eternity (2013). He was nominated for two Grammys with Ministry for “Under My Thumb” from Cover Up (2008), and “Señor Peligro” from the live record, Adios… Puta Madres (2009). Sin gained world-wide recognition for his matchless metal guitar execution and coined his iconic sound and mechanical riffing methodology. This era with Ministry unlocked the doors to touring the world in the most coveted venues, stadiums, and festivals, whilst finally granting him his very own signature axe by Schecter Guitars.
In 2020, Sin felt the heat of another deep fire burning within. The flames of an unrelenting vision were sparked when he joined forces with music producer Alex Crescioni to begin scaling the next summit of metal supremacy. His brainchild SIGLOS was formed after years in the studio sculpting what would become the debut EP entitled “Rituales Sagrados” released in January 2023. Sin’s original compositions took form to be some of the heaviest and most unique extreme metal music in the genre. Combining ancient indigenous chants and brutal gutturals of vocalist Pedro Sanchez (Transtorno) and the razor splitting rhythm and leads from Sin’s groundbreaking arrangements, SIGLOS was forged with fervor. The band exudes the sound of black, death, doom, and industrial metal with their own undeniable otherworldly novelty. Their debut performance at The LA Gates Of Metal Festival in 2023 summoned ancestral spirits and abruptly turned heads locking in the crowd to their alluring trance. Now, there is a haunting breeze in the air. A presence ascending through a purple haze pluming across the rising sun. The calm before the storm.
