Band Line Up 2025

Hailing from Belfast, Ireland, Lock Horns is a four-piece Progressive Metal entity forged by a shared passion and love for heavy music. Each member brings their diverse influences and raw talent together to create a powerful and progressive sound.

The band’s first music video for the track, ‘Wendigo’, immediately shocked the local scene and gave everyone a glimpse of what was to come.

They immediately started to work on their debut album, ‘Molon Labe’ (released in 2018) proving that their ability to forge technical progressive metal with thought-provoking lyrical subject, was indeed a force to be reckoned with. Following the release of ‘Molon Labe, they immediately went on the road, playing festivals like ‘Siege of Limerick’, ‘Urban Assault’, and touring overseas. They garnered the experience to win the Belfast M2TM competition and go on to play at Bloodstock Open Air Festival, cementing them as one of Belfast’s finest metal acts.

Having signed with Northern Irish label, Distortion Project Records before the pandemic, work immediately began on the next record ‘RED ROOM’ (released on May 31st, 2024), which saw the band evolve to greater musical heights, producing a contemporary body of work that has been gaining considerable praise from critics within the heavy music industry.

The release of their latest singles, ‘The Golden Mean’, ‘Skin and Bones’ and most recent, ‘The Origin Of Evil Impulses’, shows the diverse and versatile ability of ‘RED ROOM’. An album that solidifies the bands status as one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from the Northern Irish underground scene.
